A new breed of BNG for ISPs
Broadband Network Gateway (BNG)
BNG is a key capability of Bison Router. It supports PPPoE and IPoE subscriber sessions, L2TP LAC and LNS modes for tunneled PPP access, and routing protocols widely used in ISP networks, including the Border Gateway Protocol (BGP).
Firewall
In addition to routing, Bison Router also provides the packet filtering capability, including the ACLs, support for fully stateful filtering and large IP sets.
Carrier-Grade NAT (CGNAT)
Highly scalable CGNAT with support for SNAT44, NAT64, Deterministic NAT, port-block based SNAT, NAT Event Logging (NEL), and DDoS protection for NATed subscriber traffic.
Quality of Service (QoS)
Traffic policing and shaping. As well as accurate classification and prioritization of the traffic both within the subscriber lines and uplink channels. It allows to increase the accuracy of QoS algorithms by a more precise recognition of traffic types.
